Investing $375 million of the People’s Transportation Funds, Miami Dade County is replacing the entire Metrorail fleet with 136 new state of the art rail cars manufactured by Hitachi Rail USA. Over a three year period, Miami Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works will incrementally replace the older fleet with the new cars.
